(Ilm. 21:5)

Kaiken myllerryksen keskellä on selvä kiinnekohta: kaikki tehdään uudeksi, ja me saamme nähdä sen.

There have been profound changes during last years and months - one could never have been able to imagine such a period of time when people lose their ability to think. In recent weeks and days, the pace of change has only accelerated.

But over and over again a verse of the Bible has come to my mind [1]: "Behold, I make all things new." (Revelation 21:5) In the old Finnish Bible it is expressed, "Look, I make all things new".

In the midst of all the turmoil, we are well anchored: everything will be made new and we will see it.

DSC_2872Tietämättä mietteistäni eräs hyvä ystäväni totesi jokin aika sitten, mistä jääkausissa on kyse. "Maapallo vain uudistuu", hän sanoi yksinkertaisesti.

Miten hienosti sanottu!

A while ago, without knowing what was going on in my mind, a good friend of mine expressed a simple fact about the ice age. "The Earth is just renewing," he said.

What a fine point! No matter what kind of hysteria is created about the changing climate - for the Earth it is natural variation and there is nothing to fear.

After the verse in the Revelation, without exception, I have been reminded about a passage in Hebrews (13:5) which says [2], "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

Our Earth is renewing, in the hands of God. Everything happens deliberately, not by chance. God will not leave us.

Spruce Ilmestyskirjan kohdan jälkeen mieleen on poikkeuksetta noussut myös seuraava Hebrealaiskirjeen kohta (13:5): "En minä sinua hylkää enkä sinua jätä."

Maapallomme uudistuu, Jumalan käsissä. Kaikki tapahtuu tarkoituksella, ei sattumalta. Jumala ei meitä jätä. - P. P.
